Jakarta Will Be Free from HIV in 2020

Not only strengthening WPA, his side will also encourage SKPD in City Government, such as Education Dept., Tourism and Culture Dept. (Disparbud), Empowerment Child Protection and Population Control (PPAPP) Dept., and Health Dept. to be actively involved in socializing HIV/AIDS.

"Several programs in each SKPDs can be synergized with KPAP," he expressed.

Jakarta KPAP Secretary, Asep Syarifudin mentioned, there are 8,648 AIDS sufferers and 45,355 HIV sufferers in Jakarta according to December 2016 data.

"Recently, about 40 percent of them are on treatment. We are worried to encounter iceberg phenomenon of disease, thus prevention needs to be synergized," he closed.
